Women in Control is our women’s self-defense program. This class helps women identify and deal with adverse situations like sexual assault, situational awareness and other tactics than can help you get through an attack or potential attack should it happen. If you’d like to be notified of the next available class please register as a user on the website and edit your profile to include the “Women In Control” group. I will email everyone that is registered when we offer the next class.

Next Class Start Date:
April 20th 2011 – The class will be on April 20th and 27th from 6-8 pm. The class will be held at3704 Meadow Bluff Ct., Sachse, TX 75048. To pre-register use Google Checkout below. When you register I will be sent an email and will add you to the list in the order received. We would like to limit each class to 10 students so this will be on a first come first serve basis.
FAQ:
Q – What techniques do you teach?
A – We teach women a combination of standing and ground techniques that emphasize the use of the most effective parts of their bodies when fighting a male attacker.
Q – Will I be training the techniques in a realistic manner?
A – Yes, our instructors will be suited up with protective gear so that you can practice these techniques using full force so that you know what it feels like should you need to use it.
Q – Will I be able to take a re-fresher course so I don’t forget the techniques.
A – Yes, for all of the women who take the course, they will be able to come up, during the WIC review classes that we will be having every couple of months, and review the techniques with each other.
Q – How old do participants need to be?
A – We would like teenagers to be at least 13 years old and to be participating with a parent.
Q – What will I need to wear?
A – A pair of athletic or sweat pants and a t-shirt. If you have long hair you may want to put it up.
Q - Are off-site classes available?
A - Yes, we are available to come and teach group classes to women at your facility. If you are interested please send an email to shannon@xfactorbjj.com.
